Jerusalem – Israeli Police: Our Goal To Wipe Out ‘Mishmeres Hatznius’

    71

Jerusalem – The campaign to liquidate the “mishmeres hatznius” is broadening. Binyomin Meyerovitch was arrested today under suspicion as one of the heads of the organization. Shmuel Veisfish was arrested at the beginning of the week. Jerusalem police spokesman: “We are weighing whether to extend Meyerovitch’s incarceration.”

“We have resolved to wipe them out,” said an agent in the Detectives Division of the Jerusalem District Police to “B’chadrei Chareidim” in reference to the mishmeres hatznius. The assurance, it seems, has come to fruition.

Today (Wednesday), Chareidi Jerusalem resident Binyomin Meyerovitch was arrested under suspicion of being one of the heads of the organization and responsible for many actions made in the group’s name. Earlier in the week police arrested Shmuel Veisfish, allegedly an organization activist.

The arrest warrant against the two came after the arrest of Elchanan Buzaglo, suspected of acts of violence carried out at the behest of the mishmeres hatznius. Meyerovitch had been staying out of the country in recent weeks, returning to Israel today only to be immediately arrested.

As mentioned, after Buzaglo’s arrest, the news broke on israeli web site B’Chadrei Chareidim that the police opened a dragnet for mishmeres hatznius activists and had issued arrest warrants for a number of suspects.

In her decision to extend the incarceration of Buzaglo, judge Shulamit Dotan wrote: “The crimes being investigated by the police in this episode are apparently organized by not a small number of involved parties,” an expression which points to the extensive evidence gathered in the course of the investigation into the matter.

A whirlwind has engulfed Mea Shearim since Veisfish’s arrest last Sunday. Today, as with the week’s previous days, demonstrations were held in Shabbos Square protesting the arrest. The complaints intensified after the decision was handed down on Monday to extend his incarceration by seven days.

Demonstrators are directing their rage on Space, a store located in the Square, due to the fact that it sells “unkosher” MP4 players. A group of young men demonstrated yesterday in front of the Greentech store on Malchei Yisrael St., demanding the store stop selling the “impure” Growise Brothers movies.

Jerusalem Police spokesman Shmulik Ben-Rubi confirmed Meyerovitch’s arrest to B’Chadrei Chareidim. “The arrest is directly linked to the investigation of the arrestee Elchanan Buzaglo, and the same is true for the arrest of Shmuel Veisfish,” he said. “He is also suspected of being involved with the Watch’s activities and also organizing acts of violence against the Space business in Shabbos Square.”

Is Meyerovitch cooperating with the investigation?

    “Ask his lawyer.”

Will he receive an extended incarceration like Veisfish and Buzaglo?

“We are weighing the matter. We will decide during the course of the day.”

What offenses is he specifically suspected of?

“The man is suspected of involvement in offenses across the spectrum. In the meantime, we are keeping this information to ourselves.”

More power to the police! Although Im really against the Israeli police in general! They are Reshuem and antisemiten! They hate a Frum Jew more than they hate an Arab! On this I agree 100%. The so called Vaad are the biggest Shmutzyakis!

There is no question that unpure and immoral situations and products should be stopped. But these hooligans go too far. Growise Bros. movies, unpure? Technoligical devices per se unpure? What about being able to listen to Daf Yomi on the devices or just plain music? The result of these zealots’ actions is evident in the police now bearing down on them and rationalizing that anything is OK because it’s only these few zealots that are behind the protests. And by trying to assur anything and everything, they will cause the really unpure and immoral stuff to go on.

Mishmeres Hatznius actions are counterproductive. If they think their derech will change how women dress they are so wrong. Their actions will only give secular Jews more reasons to hate Chareidim.

Years ago, when I became a B’aales tshuva, I did not cover my elbows and knees properly because people did not teach me how to dress in a tzniusdik way. Probably because they felt uncomfortable to broach the subject. If I had been confronted by people like mishmeres hatznius then, I probably would have gone off the derech.

Why is it, when someone takes halachic wrongs & tries to correct it, they are praised, but when it goes against YOUR moral code, suddenly they should be banned???

Think about the police AND the Mishmeres Hatznius.

With all the demonstrations on Kikar Shabbes I’m surprised there are rocks left there at all. In my humble opinion, demonstrating exemplary behavior will impress more people than rioting.

Don’t confuse the mishmeres hatznius, with those extremists yelling at women that aren’t dressed modestly (although it’s a shame the provocative way some pritzus’diga women started to go around in the Jerusalem streets), with those “holy askonim” acting on stopping child molesters and menuvolim breaking heimishe families by “aishes ish” stories.

most critics on MH are, either ignorant or molesters themselves!

The great previous gerrer rebe said: The Vaad Hatznius needs a vaad Hatznius to look after them. He said this even though Shloime Eirenstein who is a gerrer is a active member of this thug group. The co-head of the gang is also a gerer.

While they can arrest an alleged child molester in Shomron, they’re encouraging child molestation in yerushalayim by persecuting the mesiras nefesh members of Vaad Hatzniyus, that all molesters and rapists are scared from them.

    Shame on you Israel!!!

I was personally harassed by the vaad hatznious while I was pregnant and immediately after I had a baby for things my husband was accused and he was innocent of. The front windshield from my car was broken and I received phone calls from the vaad hatznios that my husband is lying.

Now he is totally secular. He had enough. He knows he doesn’t want to be like those reshuim.

When someone is mistreated by so-called frum/religious Jews, why is the response: to abandon your own frumkeit?

    Doesn’t make you wonder?

Where was their frumkeit to begin with?

    Why is that the answer?

The reason why there exists a group of people called “activists” is because they have NOTHING ELSE TO DO W/ THEIR LIVES. If they can’t or won’t learn in yeshiva/kollel, there is no purpose for them in charedi society. So they become “activists”, out of total need to do something. TO root out the problem charedi society needs to have a solution for the non learners.

look it up in shulchan aruch it is well known that in the times of the bais hamikdash the beis din sent out POLICE and strong men to patrol the patry’s of bnei yisroel werever they were (IN ERETZ YISROEL) so as to prevent them from sinning on yom tov, since the families gather and the women and men mingle at the seuda and thereafter, the chachamin of the time already knew better then all the commentators here…

(and let me say that the POLICE “shluchei beis din” did use force to prevent sin from ocurring since “ain aputrufus laaroyois” and nobody could say i am immune.. because you are dealing with the yetzer hora and therefore FORCE is the only language it speaks (like to the arabs lehavdil)

The problem with the vaad hatznious is that persecute people without checking all evidence for a possible mistake. Isn’t this a sin to harass people for nothing? Kill lives for entertainment? How about all the loshon horah that goes around? How about the parnassah people lost because of the harassment?

    It’s not so simple!

They won’t even listen to people that have evidence there was a mistake.

One more thing. Try to give them money and then you can do all you want.

Don’t taket my word!!! Try it!

Yid- What are u smoking? This is not about Zionists as we all know what the Police in Israel are capable of. This has to do with being part of society that does not have to agree with u and in a democracy and a government u do not recognize people do have certain rights which u have a choice to either not look or move away. U have no right to either harass or hurt anyone who does not agree with your veiw. Yid- u sound sincere but are quite uneductaed and indicate no respect

for others rights. What does Zionism have to do with beating people up or telling them where to sit. Farmacht AYER OIGIN IN KIKST IN A SEFER.
